Board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Samer G. Saqqa, DO, brings over a decade of experience in adult spine and orthopedic spinal surgery to St. Clair Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in St. Clair Shores and Macomb Township, Michigan, serving patients throughout Macomb County.
Dr. Saqqa was born in Kuwait and raised in West Michigan and began his professional education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning his bachelor’s degree. After graduation, Dr. Saqqa moved to East Lansing and enrolled at Michigan State University receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Next, he completed an internship and residency at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Dr. Saqqa completed his final fellowship at the Texas Back Institute in Plano, a world-renowned academic spine center led by leaders in artificial disc replacement, Dr. Richard Guyer, Dr. Scott Blumenthal, Dr.Jack Ziegler, and Dr. Isador Lieberman, a pioneer in robotic spine surgery.
