Dr. Kenneth Ierardi is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement, complex joint reconstruction, infection surgery, and orthopedic trauma.

Dr. Ierardi received an undergraduate degree in biology from Boston College. He then obtained a nursing degree from Regis College and later went on to practice pediatric nursing. Kenneth received his medical degree from the University of New England with honors. During medical training, Dr. Ierardi performed orthopedic biomechanical research at Harvard University.

He completed his orthopedic surgery residency locally at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, a nationally recognized program for treating joint infections and complex joint conditions, and trained under Dr. Andrew Glassman, a highly respected expert in hip and knee surgery.

Dr. Ierardi has published research and authored textbooks on orthopedic biomechanics, sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and joint replacements, and has been invited to present his research nationally and internationally. He is an active member of the American Association for Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS), the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the Michigan Orthopedic Society (MOS). He serves as a faculty member for the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Orthopedic Surgery Residency and is a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Michigan State University.

At St. Clair Orthopedics, Kenneth specializes in minimally invasive techniques, including robotic assisted knee surgery and direct anterior approach hip replacements, which cause less soft tissue damage and promote faster recovery. He also specializes in complex joint reconstruction surgeries including periprosthetic joint infection and orthopedic trauma.

Dr. Ierardi is dedicated to alleviating pain and restoring mobility to improve his patients’ quality of life with the latest innovative techniques and expert care.
